Old School Enrichment Council runs the Old School Community Center and is an all volunteer effort. We are always looking for assistance, no matter your talents there is somewhere we could use your help. Please contact us (form on home page) if you’d like to lend a hand!

Janet Boyd

Janet has substantial experience in the local real estate market.  She is the owner of Boyd Real Estate Sales, Rentals and Property Management and co-owner of the Boyd Family Farm. The farm, owned and operated by the same family for over 80 years, is located in the Deerfield Valley and only minutes from Wilmington Center.  Janet has been actively working to develop a community center in the Deerfield Valley for many years.

Diane Chapman - Secretary

Diane has been a resident in Wilmington since 1978 and raised her three children in this community.  She and her husband are downtown business owners.  Diane is a former Wilmington select board member with extensive experience on town committees and volunteer groups including: Wilmington Development Review Board, Dover Development Review Board, Dover Planning Commission, Wilmington Historical Society Treasurer, Deerfield Valley Farmer’s Day, Vestry of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Wilmington Works, Deerfield Valley Rotary Club, FEMA Long Term Recovery Project Committee, and Wilmington Old Home Week Committee.

Steve Goldfarb - Chair

Steve has lived in Southern Vermont for over 30 years.  He is an avid outdoor sports enthusiast.  Steve has taught skiing as a PSIA Professional Ski Instructor for 30 years.  Steve loves to educate in all realms of life.  He ran the Mountain Bike School at Mount Snow for many years, still teaches skiing there part time, coaches water skiing and occasionally facilitates team-building and initiative games with local schools, and groups. 

Steve has assisted a few developers with their multiple home building projects.  Having added onto his first house 3 times, building 2 homes and totally renovating another, he has a working knowledge of the physical plants. While selling real estate throughout the area, Steve also spent 3 years as a membership salesperson for the Hermitage Club at Haystack Mountain.

 

Cindy Hayford

Cindy has been a Wilmington resident since 1981. She was a teacher for 16 years and is currently the Coalition Director for the Deerfield Valley Community Partnership. Since 1998, Cindy has managed all aspects of the community coalition including member recruitment, community development, capacity building, strategic planning, staff supervision, program implementation, staff training, budgeting, meeting preparation and facilitation, grant writing, grant reporting and fundraising. Cindy has brought in grant funds of over $2.7M to the Deerfield Valley for substance abuse prevention. Cindy is a current member of the Wilmington Recreation Committee.

TJ Sibilia

TJ has lived in the Deerfield Valley for 24 years, raising a family and working exclusively in the valley. TJ brings a sales and marketing background to our board along with technical assistance and property management experience.

TJ is a member of the governing board for DVFiber and a longtime coach of area youth baseball and soccer teams. You can often find him walking the dog in Goose City or umping games at the Dover baseball field.

Meg Streeter - Vice Chair

Meg is a Wilmington native with her own residential real estate brokerage.  She is currently a board member of Southern Vermont Economic Development Strategies and an elected trustee of Wilmington's Pettee Memorial Library.  Previous volunteer work includes co-founding the non-profit Wilmington Education Fund and serving 9 years on the Wilmington Select board.

Cammie Swanson - Treasurer

Cammie moved to the Deerfield Valley in 1981. She is a Registered Nurse and the co-owner of a local business-Swan Electric, Inc. After Hurricane Irene impacted the valley, she co-championed the movement for a community center along with Steve Goldfarb. This effort is based on an overwhelming response from community members that a community center was their number one priority. She is currently President of the Twin Valley Booster Club and is a former Chairman of Valley Youth Sports.
